The Cosmic Feminine
Personal interpretation of The Feminine Archetype holding the balance between dark and light.
Forced Upgrades
Volkolak is a bio engineered, nano augmented werewolf that gets a new set of weapons installed during this (forced) upgrade procedure. New weapons will help him be more efficient in what he does > Execute missions.
—
These weaponized augmentations are a metaphor for the skills & knowledge that we as modern-day knowledge workers acquire to become more efficient in what we do.
Often these skills are imposed by the system in which we work; learn the latest software, comply to the latest policy etc. You need to actively participate in the upgrade, however does that happen by choice?
New skills are hard to install, granting you more power to execute in return for the effort and pain.
—
This image is a visual metaphor for the change enforced by our (social/professional) environment and the pain that accompanies our growth.
—
The question is; what do you use your power for? Why do you fight?
Freedom Claim
“The scientists had no idea of the true potential of each upgrade. He knew that and even learned to appreciate the excruciating pain that accompanied the augmentation procedure, just so he can test his new toys. He also knew that during a mission, he is not restricted by the constant surveillance and can push his upgrades beyond the intended use, building up his bag of tricks in process. Even with the best upgrades, he would not be able to survive the attack of the full security team though. So, he needed to gain their trust and waited patiently for years, carrying out the gruesome orders with a machine-like precision. As the time passed by without any incidents, the security became less tight, while the augmentations kept getting better with each iteration. It’s a shame he depended on the scientists to install them...
All he needed was a mission that required his favourite set of claws...When the opportunity presented itself, he did not hesitate.”
This piece is a metaphor for the perseverance in life, building our skills in creation for others, until one day, we are ready to unleash our full potential for ourselves.
Enjoy the high energy of Volkolak in your space.

Fisherman’s Discovery
“The fish were unusually plentiful in this area and had a golden tint to their scales, something must have scared off the predators. However peaceful the old pier seemed to be, there must be a reason why the locals did not come here. He was beginning to sense a gaze on his back…”
Admiral Swaab
“He needed to escape the monotony of the retired rich life. Her old wining was becoming unbearable. Even the idea of living most of the time in a pressurized suit full of liquid for the next six months seemed more pleasant than spending one more night playing bingo in the central hall. Now he is determined for adventure, and will bring his decades of experience to the battle as the commander of his ship in the armada of Kugu.”
Fedosiya
“As a descendant of an ancient line of sorcerers, she is well known in the secret circles of the Upper City. Her father used to advise the Emperor with his mysterious rituals which were always heavily critiqued by his subjects. When her father reunited with his ancestors, his duties passed on to her and she remained loyal to His Highness for decades, continuing her father’s work by using the same exact amphora that has been in her family for generations. After the Emperor mysteriously got ill and fell in an eternal sleep, his son, took over the throne. He had campaigned openly against any kind of magic in past and banished this ‘old hag’ from the palace as his first royal act. If it was not for his deep childhood fears he probably would have had her executed. However, some of the prominent advisors to the throne remained loyal to Fedosiya. They visit her regularly in the hideout on the edge of the forest and come in search of ‘wisdom from the parallel worlds’, as they call it. The same wisdom that once was available to the Emperor is now her weapon against the royal heir.
She had sworn to her father to continue his work, and will keep the promise at any cost.”
